Daphne Christopher was crowned Miss Montserrat Festival Queen in December of 1983.  Daphne credits her success on that occasion to the support she received from her mother – Ms Agnes ‘Aggie’ Christopher, who worked tirelessly with her as her chaperone.  She also remembers the coaching she received from persons such as Rose Willock who taught her about carriage and the art of having a good posture.  Her evening gown was made by Ms. Jewelyn Roberts and her hair and make-up by Keith of Claude and Keith hairdressers formerly of Wapping, Montserrat.
